A certification body for companies who handle gas fire protection systems and fire extinguishers
Cemafroid was designated approved body for the certification of companies which handle gas-regulated greenhouse contained in the protection systems against fire and extinguishers.
The missions of Cemafroid under its accreditation are:
- Issuing companies the certificates provided for in Article R. 521-60 of the Environmental Code.
- Follow up of the holders of certificates.
- Make available to the public and the gas distributors fluorinated greenhouse an updated list of companies holding a certificate.
- Forward to ADEME, the data on fluorinated greenhouse gases of a certificate incumbents.

A certification body also present in Italy
Cemafroid is also accredited to deliver companies certifications (certificates of capability) in Italy through its subsidiary Tecnea Italia.
The certification was issued by Accredia, Italian accreditation body. This accreditation covers certification of companies performing installation activities, handling or repair of stationary refrigeration equipment, air conditioning and heat pump equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gas.
With over 6,000 certificates already issued in France, the Cemafroid-Tecnea group uses its experience at the service of the Italian regulation to implement European regulations F-Gas.
