Carriage Equipment Testing - ATP Testing Station

The three Cemafroid testing tunnels, one located in Antony and two in Bordeaux are used, on the one hand, to measure the value of the heat transmission coefficient K (W/m².K) of insulated bodies (truck, semi-trailer, train car...) and on the other hand, to test the effectiveness of refrigerating appliances in temperature-controlled carriage equipment (both refrigerated and mechanically refrigerated)

Measurement of heat transmission coefficient K

Coefficient K is representative of the body's degree of insulation.

0,4 < K < 0,7 W/m².K
IN: Isotherme Normal

Testing the Effectiveness of Refrigerating Appliances
The purpose of the refrigerating equipment effectiveness test is to determine whether the refrigeration unit is able to lower the inner temperature of the empty body from +30°C to the target class temperature (-20°C for Class C, for example), and to maintain it for over 12 hours.
